We are currently looking to recruit a Commercial Paralegal
Duties
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, including Master Service Agreements, license and supply agreements and confidentiality agreements, with support from senior colleagues or business development team
- Tracking and monitoring the progress and lifecycle of contracts, using DocuSign and other programmes, to ensure that these are signed in compliance with company policy
- Conducting legal research across a range of topics and jurisdictions
- Liaising with our Scientific divisions, Senior Management team, information security and finance teams to provide guidance on the contracting process
- Assisting senior colleagues in the Legal division by monitoring compliance with contractual obligations and developing appropriate processes
- Supporting with administrative tasks that arise from business development activities
- Prepare market access briefs for sales team.
- In time and with increased experience, communicating and negotiating agreements directly with our clients and suppliers and negotiating beneficial terms on behalf of Novumgen
- Contract administration for the company and assist Global BD Center with contract drafts, follow up, and signature execution
- Conduct research, investigate facts and develop legal arguments
- Keep track of changes in legal framework and provide timely updates on these changes
- Assist with regulatory and corporate compliance matters
- Update various contract templates and provide legal advice and support to the team as needed
- Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned or requested
Skills and qualifications:
Essential requirements for the role are:
- A degree level or higher qualification (minimum 2.1 in a relevant subject, such as business or law). Whilst legal training is not required, a keen interest is essential
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to review documents with a meticulous eye
- Commercial awareness
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload and prioritise accordingly
- A dedication to providing excellent legal services to our clients, suppliers and internal teams
- Proactivity and the desire to take on new challenges
- Experience using Microsoft Office and DocuSign
Desired requirements for the role:
- Knowledge, or prior experience of dealing with data protection compliance
- Experience dealing with clients in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industries
- Prior commercial experience or experience reviewing commercial contracts, such as Master Services Agreements and other legal documents
